Joost van der Hammen

Joost van der Hammen has almost 15 years of experience in the water and IT sector. He started at Rijkswaterstaat, the executive agency of the Ministry of Water and Infrastructure of the Netherlands. Here, he worked on several projects to push the digital transformation for flood risk management. Since 2017 he works for the water and IT company Nelen & Schuurmans.

He is a partner at Nelen & Schuurmans and is responsible for business development. He is an experienced project lead on international flood risk management projects and flood risk information systems. One of his goals is to kickstart, explore, and incorporate the utilization of AI in N&S’ projects and services.
