Ian Cordery

Ian is a Visiting Fellow in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New South Wales where he specialises in teaching engineering hydrology and irrigation. He is the author of several chapters of the 1987 and 1998 ‘Australian Rainfall and Runoff’. Ian’s research areas include: hydrology in engineering design, drought, economics in hydrological design and the economics of hydrometric data collection. Ian is a consultant to the World Meteorological Organisation for review of UNDP aid project on flood forecasting, and to an UNDP project on data collection and analysis. Ian is also a Member of the International Hydrological Program (UNESCO) Working Party on ‘Coping with Water Scarcity’.
