David Free

David is the Chief Hydrogeologist with DNRM and has some 40 years’ experience undertaking groundwater investigations, assessment and management across most aquifer types in Queensland with a strong emphasis in the Great Artesian Basin (GAB). David was part of the team that developed the GAB Water Resource Plan (WRP) and Resource Operations Plan (ROP). In recent years David has concentrated on the policy and operational aspect of potential impacts that the CSG industry may have on groundwater resources and landholder water bores and now heads up the Groundwater Investigation and Assessment Team within the CSG Compliance Unit based in Toowoomba.
