Chris is a Principal Engineer for BMT (the developers of TUFLOW) with over 20 years’ experience in the field of flood / stormwater modelling and floodplain management. Chris is an expert in the field of hydraulic modelling. He is a senior member of the TUFLOW hydraulic modelling software development team, was an Adjunct Lecturer at Central Queensland University where he taught hydraulic modelling from 2018 to 2022. He is also a regular guest lecturer on applied hydraulic modelling at numerous Universities in Australia and the USA. In 2022 Chris was the Hydraulics Scientific Committee Chairperson for the Institute of Engineers, Hydrology and Water Resources Symposium.

Prior to his current role in software Chris worked in consulting and successfully completed and/or managed numerous studies throughout Queensland and New South Wales, Australia and California, USA. Studies that Chris led addressed a diverse range of factors: including stormwater management; infrastructure design; flood risk management; flood mitigation; land use development planning and approvals and emergency response planning.
