Webinar: Implementing transboundary aquifer cooperation in Africa
Lessons learned from the Ramotswa and Stampriet Aquifers
About
Despite the growing recognition of importance of transboundary groundwater and aquifers in Africa, there has been little investigation on the practicalities of implementing transboundary aquifer management. Presenter Jonathan Lautze delves in to the experiences of two aquifers in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) projects on the Ramotswa and Stampriet systems. He highlights the tools gained from these experiences, which can act as a guide to strengthen the management of shared groundwater resources.
