About

Unlock the potential of three-dimensional CFD modelling in the water industry with this beginner-friendly course. While CFD has been used for decades, it remains a specialised tool for the water industry within Australia and New Zealand. This course is designed for those with no prior CFD experience or new users of FLOW-3D HYDRO.

Our expert presenters will break down the complexities of CFD modelling, showing just how accessible this technology can be. Through carefully selected, practical examples, you'll be guided through every step of the modelling workflow—from building your first model to interpreting and refining your results during post-processing.

Beyond the basics, the course will also delve into a range of advanced topics to enhance your skills. You’ll gain insights into key physics modules relevant to water applications, best practices for meshing techniques, working efficiently with geometry, and numerical settings for optimal performance. These hands-on sessions are designed to give you practical, real-world experience.

By the end of this course, you’ll have the foundational knowledge and confidence to apply CFD modelling to a range of water industry challenges, whether you're simulating river flows, dam operations, or flood scenarios. FLOW-3D HYDRO will become a go-to tool in your professional environment.
