Rod is Research Program Leader of the Catchment Biogeochemistry and Aquatic Ecology Program in CSIRO Land and Water and an Associate Professor at Adelaide University. He is an aquatic ecologist with 25 years research experience focused on river and lake biology and water quality. He has led major projects for the Murray-Darling Basin Commission, Land & Water Australia, the Cooperative Research Centre for Freshwater Ecology and CSIRO’s Water for a Healthy Country Flagship. Recent studies address issues associated with identifying the quantity and supply of environmental water to support sustainable aquatic ecosystems within the Murray Darling Basin.
