Ray Shi holds an adjunct lecturer position at the University of Queensland, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and his Ph.D. in hydraulic and coastal engineering. He is currently a specialist hydrologist based in Perth, and his experience extends to catchment hydrology, water resource engineering, flood modelling and mine surface-water management. Ray has a great passion for CFD modelling of large-scale gravitational flow and is an experienced OpenFOAM user. Ray is also a keen learner on computer science, with post-graduate knowledge in computer vision, machine learning and computer network.
