Emily C. Rand has over 22 years of development and disaster response experience in Africa, Asia, the Americas and the Pacific.  Emily currently leads UNICEF’s water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) program in Zambia.  Prior to working in Zambia, Emily led UNICEF’s WASH program in Vanuatu, advised governments with the World Bank, taught WASH to Masters of Public Health students, led WASH projects for various non-profits, served the USA Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and worked as site civil engineer.  She earned an MPH, an MBA, and an engineering license and has co-authored over 30 publications.
