Bob has been involved in water management for around twenty years, and currently works for Qld DNRM. Starting out at with NSW Agriculture working on salinity and hydrology projects Bob’s experience was valuable in the NSW Water Reform team working with the Namoi, Gwydir and Border Rivers catchments. Later Bob was involved in the development and implementation of the NSW Native Vegetation Act 2003 and supporting legislation, before moving into the development of licensing and compliance strategies for the NSW Office of Water. Bob took up the role of Principal Policy Officer, Demand, Efficiency and Substitution with the Queensland Water Commission before joining the Department of Natural Resources and Mines. Bob’s recent major projects include groundwater management in the Burdekin area and water resource planning in the Atherton Tablelands.
