Educated at the University of Southampton and University College London (UK), Andreas de Jong is a freelance hydrogeologist and project manager with international experience in the water sector in over 30 countries worldwide. Clients include the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Union, United Nations, Gov. of Germany, and the private sector.

Andreas’s specialties include groundwater exploration, monitoring & management; integrated water resources management (IWRM), development of river basin management plans, hydrology, climate change, surface geophysical surveys, databases, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), hydrogeological maps, remote sensing, and the development of water resources management tools.

Andreas has extensive experience in institutional capacity building through formal lectures, technical training workshops and on-the-job training. Since 2013 he has delivered over 50 technical workshops through in-person and online platforms.
