Mr Adrian Costar is a Senior Hydrogeologist with the South Australian Department for Environment and Water. His background and experience is in the fields of hydrogeology and geophysics having worked in these disciplines for more than 18 years in both the public and private sector; with 15 of those with the department. Adrian has extensive skills in hydrogeology including water well design, drilling and construction, pumping/aquifer test design and analysis, geophysical survey design and implementation, groundwater sampling, water resource assessment, groundwater characterisation, geographical information systems and environmental management. His work has included water provision for town water supplies and project lead and management on a number of highly complex projects which involve the integration of field investigations (including innovative techniques) to observe, assess and understand hydrogeological processes and issues.
