About

Mining projects require a clear understanding of how groundwater systems interact with complex geological settings. In this webinar, we introduce a modern approach to mine water modelling that connects geological interpretation with robust numerical simulation. Using FEFLOW, we demonstrate how mine dewatering, pressure distribution, and seepage behaviour can be represented within a single modelling framework, supported by flexible and powerful 3D meshing techniques.
The session is designed for professionals who are new to FEFLOW or looking to better understand advanced modelling workflows. Through practical examples, you will see how to move from geological concepts to simulation-ready models, and how these models support decision-making in mining projects. We will also briefly highlight how Python can be used to support and extend modelling workflows. By the end of the webinar, you will have a clear understanding of the modelling workflow and the value of integrating geology and groundwater processes to improve confidence in your results.
