About

Digital twins are moving from concept to practical reality in wastewater treatment facilities. In this webinar, DHI will share lessons learned from full-scale implementations where digital twins combine online data, process models, and operational knowledge to support better day-to-day decision-making, operator training, and optimisation of treatment plant performance. The session will highlight why digital twins are becoming increasingly relevant as utilities balance stricter regulatory requirements with sustainability goals such as energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction.

The webinar will also explore what it takes to make digital twins work in real operational environments. Drawing on implementation experience across full-scale WWTPs, the session will cover the importance of robust data pipelines, synchronisation between physical and digital systems, automated safeguards, transparency, and organisational adoption. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the digital twin journey, from data and automation through predictive process evaluation and multi-objective optimisation.

This is the 2nd in a series of 3 webinars covering DHI CityFlow Live for Wastewater, Treatment Plants, and Receiving Environments.
