Woodrow “Woody” Fields is a Senior Consequence Specialist at the USACE Risk Management Center (CEIWR-RMC) with over 15 years of experience in risk assessments. His work focuses on developing innovative tools to estimate economic damages and potential life loss from flooding. He is the lead developer of LifeSim, a sophisticated consequence modeling system that simulates warning and evacuation with flood propagation. He also leads the development of the Dam Screening Tool (DST) and Levee Screening Tool (LST), web-based platforms for conducting risk assessments. Additionally, he is a co-developer of RMC-TotalRisk, a software package for comprehensive flood risk analysis. Woodrow holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Portland State University and an M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
