Karis has 13 years’ experience in water resource management as a senior manager within the Western Australian Department of Water as Program Manager and District Manager, Kimberley. Karis has spent her career working with businesses and growers within regional communities negotiating water management strategies and environmental and regulatory approval pathways.  In her role she was responsible for the protection and sustainable development of surface and groundwater in the Kimberly. Karis has managed large scale greenfield irrigation and mining development projects throughout the Kimberley. Karis has experience in working with Traditional Owners in both Aboriginal Enterprise and Native Title processes.
