Evie Packett is a Researcher for CSIRO Land and Water. She conducts research on how gender relates to water management and decision support models. She is a Crawford Fund scholar, bringing interdisciplinary approaches to her work from her education in hydrology and politics. Her appointment at CSIRO begun as an undergraduate summer vacation scholar, producing in depth study into “Mainstreaming and Modelling: How gender analysis can be applied to a water management modelling framework”. In collaboration with ANU, she presented research detailing how citizen science techniques can be used to improve water quality monitoring in Fijian communities at the Science, Technology and Research Network (STAR) Conference in Suva, Fiji.
