Bryson Bates

Bryson has 30 year of experience in applied climate science. His experience covers the impact of climate on surface water resources and climate and weather extremes. He was a lead author of three IPCC assessment reports and an editor of the 2007 IPCC special report on Climate Change and Water. He was also a member of the Technical Committee for the recent revision of Australian Rainfall and Runoff and a co-author of its Interim Climate Change Guideline. Bryson is a fellow of Engineers Australia. He is currently an Honorary Fellow with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (Oceans and Atmosphere) and an adjunct professor at the Universities of Adelaide and Western Australia.
