About

Join Prof Troy Meston (One Basin CRC’s First Nations Research Lead) for an examination of the forms of authority through which water is governed and the techniques by which those forms of authority are maintained.

Placing this examination within the current context of the 2026 Basin Plan Review and the concurrent review of the Water Act 2007, Meston asks: does reform alter the distribution of authority within the Basin, or does it refine the apparatus through which existing authority continues to operate?

Put another way: what would reform actually reform?
