Setting up a groundwater modelling project for successful uncertainty analysis
Uncertainty analysis is becoming a standard component in groundwater modelling projects. There are a wide range of uncertainty analysis techniques available that differ in assumptions, approaches and computational demand. Despite these differences, they share a number of prerequisites from the data, model and project management, that need to be satisfied before any of the approaches can be applied successfully.
This presentation gave a high-level overview of uncertainty analysis techniques, their advantages and drawbacks and discussed the prerequisites for uncertainty analysis in a groundwater modelling project.
