Matevž Vremec is an Assistant Professor and hydrology researcher working in the fields of evapotranspiration, groundwater and water resources management. He is a co-developer of PyET, an open-source Python package for estimating potential evapotranspiration using a wide range of established methods. His research combines field observations, experimental approaches, and numerical and data-driven modelling to improve the estimation and understanding of evapotranspiration and hydrological processes. He also teaches Python-based data analysis and hydrological modelling to students and water-sector professionals.
