John Verhoeven

John is a Senior Associate with Advisian (formerly Evans & Peck). He is a civil engineer/groundwater hydrologist with over 39 years experience in the public and private sectors, with major state, national and international achievements in directing the development and implementation of water and natural resources management policy, planning and strategy, and catchment investment, to achieve sustainable infrastructure and healthy, productive landscapes. Before joining Evans & Peck, John held executive positions with government organisations including Departments of Natural Resources; Infrastructure, Planning & Natural Resources; Land & Water Conservation; Water Resources and NSW Treasury. He has attained significant success in politically sensitive environments to achieve sustainability goals through leading organisations, and developing, mentoring and coaching large multidisciplinary teams. John’s career includes both regulator [as a former Executive with the (now) NSW Office of Water], and adviser to infrastructure and mining clients. John is also Deputy Chair and Board Member of the Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment Management Authority.
