Renmark Irrigation Trust
James John
James joined the Trust in 2018 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since January 2026, leading its strategy, operations and performance. A former mergers and acquisitions solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills, he holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business, bringing a strong commercial, legal and strategic perspective to his leadership. Originally from Renmark, James is committed to the region’s future, with a focus on critical water infrastructure, irrigated agriculture, regional economic development and modern governance. He was elected to Renmark Paringa Council in November 2022.
