Don McFarlane BSc MSc PhD has over 30 years experience in land and water research and management. He has led the Soils and Catchment Hydrology groups in the WA Department of Agriculture, been a Director of both water research and management in the state water agency, and coordinated WA water research in CSIRO, Floreat. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at UWA and part-time consultant. His main areas of interest are currently managed aquifer recharge, urban hydrology under climate change, and remote sensing.  His research papers have been cited more than 2000 times and he has won the CSIRO Chairman Medal for his research.
