Craig Copeland is the CEO and Founder of OzFish Unlimited, Australia’s fishing conservation organisation. He has been leading the protection and restoration of fish habitat throughout Australia for over 30 years. He has led ground-breaking work in fish passage restoration, wetland rehabilitation, river resnagging as well as the delivery of water for fish outcomes. He was involved in the delivery of the MDB Native Fish Strategy for all of its operation and the development of the current Native Fish Recovery Strategy that followed.

He has been responsible for the advancement of recreational fishers undertaking river health projects around Australia with a major focus on the Basin.

Craig has an Honours degree in Ecology, Diploma in Education and Graduate Diploma in Public Sector Management. He is a Churchill Fellow, an Adjunct Associate Professor at James Cook University and has for many years sat on the Editorial Board of Ecological Management and Restoration.
