Andrew Merchant
Dr Andrew Merchant is a Professor in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney. His research focuses on plant physiology, water relations and plant responses to environmental stress, with applications to sustainable agriculture and improving the resilience and productivity of agricultural systems under a changing climate. His work spans plant–soil interactions, water-use efficiency and climate adaptation, and he collaborates extensively across agricultural and environmental research.
