Amy Basnett leads the Eco-Markets Australia Secretariat, overseeing the administration and ENVOMARK assured integrity of our Value Nature Framework across water improvement and biodiversity voluntary nature credit markets.

This includes the inaugural Reef Credits Scheme with over 60,000 credits issued to date for water improvement in the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef; the Cassowary Credits Scheme launched in May 2025 for benefits to rainforest biodiversity in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area with credits able to be stacked with ACCU’s; and the Australasian Catchment Water Improvement Standard (ACWIS) launched November 2025 which enables water improvement credit-generating projects in catchment settings, defined by the relevant water quality improvement plan or comparable strategy across Australasia.

With over 20 years’ experience in water quality improvement, catchment management, nutrient intervention, research, and strategy, Amy brings a proven track record in program delivery, project and grant management, and stakeholder engagement.
