Amanda is a Senior Engineer with 4 years of experience in the Water Industry. She joined WMS in December 2021 as a Graduate Engineer and became a Senior Engineer in December 2024. Prior to joining WMS, she previously worked for a year at WSP as a Graduate Engineer in the Water Networks Team. Amanda graduated from the University of British Columbia, Canada in 2019 with a Master of Applied Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering.

During her first year as a graduate engineer, Amanda worked on the concept and detailed design of water and wastewater networks as part of a secondment with Sydney Water. This allowed her to develop her design skills, as well as time management and teamwork capacity. It also helped her gain a better understanding of proposals and project management.

Since joining WMS, Amanda has quickly developed her water resources and modelling skills and has contributed to various flood investigations such as flood studies, flood impact assessments, flood emergency response plans and flood mitigation studies. Amanda has experience with TUFLOW, WBNM, XPRAFTS, RORB, AUTOCAD and QGIS. One of Amanda’s key strengths is her ability to produce plain English, easy to read reports, and she prides herself in being flexible and easy to work with.
